We were recently invited to dine at Bob Bob Ricard, and from the moment we arrived, it felt special.
There are some places in London that simply understand how to create an atmosphere. This is one of them. The room is rich with deep blues, polished brass and beautifully designed booths that instantly make you feel tucked away from the world outside. Inspired by the golden age of the Orient Express, the interiors feel glamorous yet intimate, with just the right amount of theatre.

It has energy without being overwhelming. Every table feels like something is being celebrated.
We started with the Lobster, Scallop and Shrimp Pelmeni. Generous, delicate and full of flavour, it was indulgent but perfectly balanced. The kind of starter that sets the tone immediately.

For mains, we chose the Chicken and Champagne Pie and the Beef Wellington. The pie was rich and comforting with beautifully golden pastry and a depth of flavour that felt considered rather than heavy. The Beef Wellington was a standout. Perfectly cooked beef wrapped in crisp pastry, classic and confident with no need for embellishment.
Then there is the detail everyone talks about. The Press for Champagne button. We pressed it, of course. It adds a sense of fun and occasion that makes the whole experience memorable. It is playful but still refined, which is exactly why we love it so much. In fact, it is a feature we have introduced into our new Savile Row Design Home because luxury should feel immersive and enjoyable.

We also took a look downstairs where the atmosphere shifts slightly. A little moodier, a little more intimate. They host a monthly jazz evening with live music while guests dine and drink, which feels like the perfect excuse to return. An evening of great food, great wine and live jazz in that setting is hard to resist.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. Attentive, warm and completely natural. Nothing forced, nothing overly formal. Just thoughtful hospitality done properly.
Bob Bob Ricard is not simply somewhere to eat. It is somewhere to enjoy, to settle into, to stay a little longer than planned. We left already looking forward to going back, and we know exactly what we will be pressing first.
