Why is Hugh Jackman our Man of the Month?

*sings* What a man, what a man, what a man, what a… Ok we’ll stop. If you watched The Brits on Wednesday night, you would’ve seen Hugh Jackman in a fantastic silver tuxedo jacket opening the show with The Greatest Showman’s theme song. And what better way to open The Brits?

Where can we start? Originally from Sydney, Australia, he’s been in over 40 films since he started his career in the 90’s. Jackman played the legendary part of Wolverine in X-Men and has also had some more recent musical parts in Les Miserables and of course, The Greatest Showman. He’s had an incredible acting career and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. This year he’s in animated children’s film ‘Missing Link’.

He’s been with his wife, Deborah-Lee Furness since 1996 and has two children Oscar and Ava. It’s clear from his Instagram that he adores his family and his French Bulldog.

Deborah and himself have carried out numerous charity operations and Hugh is the global advisor for the Global Poverty Project. When he’s not working or helping to save the planet (busy guy), his interests include football, yoga and playing the guitar, piano and violin! He really is a jack(man) of all trades…

We have to say, he always looks great. His staple smart casual look tends to be a shirt and jacket which you certainly can’t go wrong with. Plus, we love the fact that he accessorises with aviator sunglasses and the odd cool hat.

As you can see, he’s a natural at looking smart and well groomed and while he knows how to wear a dinner suit and bow tie, he also rocks a printed suit when he goes for something a little different.

His Instagram account is full of videos and images of him in different scenarios, whether he’s working or travelling he shows a range of outfits he’s clearly comfortable in. A must follow if you’re a guy looking for some relatable style inspiration.

While travelling, he’s been known to relax in a polo shirt, jumper and chinos and like anyone else, he loves a hoodie, especially when rehearsing for his latest movie.

At age 50, we’d say his style is classic with a modern twist. He switches between Bond and laid back family man seamlessly.

We must admit, we think he’s got his style on point. We would keep the smart casual look, the array of great suits and his simple accessories.

We could be tempted to add a pop of colour to his outfits. Perhaps some ruby red accessories or an emerald green jacket. We’d also love to see him in a smart wool overcoat. Collar up with a scarf perhaps, city chic!

Not only is he a style icon but he oozes confidence, kindness and charisma which is why he’s our Man of the Month February 2019!

Who do you want to see as Man of the Month March 2019? We’d love to know your thoughts, let us know!
