Other than her love for tailoring Alex actually went to Sylvia young theatre school, did circus training and loves singing (Her biggest fan is her shower)
Fave look on a man? A sharp suit and a crisp white shirt sans tie, you just can’t beat it!
One investment piece every man should own? A bespoke tailored suit. It’s an experience and a piece of art work.
Fave aftershave? Aventus by Creed although it’s now become a bit too popular which is dull. I love Fahrenheit too. My husband wears it but said it used to be like catnip in his dating days so he’s glad that I like it!
Why AW over other tailors? We make it fun and enjoyable whilst taking your image very seriously. We create flattering tailoring that is well thought out, immaculately cut and has our clients always commenting on how many compliments they receive, which they’ve never experienced before!
What do you love most about what you do? I’m obsessed with menswear. I like order and I love how menswear falls within tight boundaries. If you look at a man’s wardrobe overall it consists of 7 core pieces: Suit, jacket, trousers, shirt, T-shirt, coat, Jacket. I love the simplicity that tailoring has to offer and when done right it makes a huge impact on the wearers confidence and oozes a splash of sexy which if done wrong can very much sway the other way.
What are you trying to achieve at AW? Transformation. I live for those days when I receive emails like: “Alex, I’m not sure how you do it, but I’ve never had so many compliments. I absolutely love my new pieces.” Our new tailoring collections allow for our clients to create multiple looks with just 2 hours with us and create an entire year of exceptional looks that also make our clients lives much easier. It’s already proved to be very popular, so I’m really excited about it.

Fave aftershave? Has to be Creed Aventus, it’s different and leaves a lasting impression.
Why AW over other tailors? We are different from any other tailor. Taking traditional Savile Row tailoring and adding a modern twist making it fun and effortless and most importantly transforming not only mens wardrobes but their lifestyle too.
What do you love most about your job? The team and the lovely clients. Everyday it is made fun and enjoyable, creating designs for clients and seeing them happy.
What are you trying to achieve at AW? I want to show people how refreshing Alexandra Wood is and how we are Savile Row’s best-kept secret. It’s time to share our unique approach with more people, so we can make them look and feel amazing with a fun and effortless approach, just as we do for our current clients.

What do you love most about your job? I love the incredible team I get to work with every day. Helping to coordinate and bring together all the moving parts of the business is incredibly rewarding, especially when we see the transformation in our clients’ confidence and style.
